Welcome to Wolincircus Projects

I love working on projects. There is a God given inherant satisfaction that comes with completing a difficult task. There is a temptation for me, however, to think that fulfillment in life comes from pursuing these things.

The Place of Projects

Recently in listening to a sermon by Ravi Zacharias I had a clarifying moment in hearing a biblical definition of pleasure. A legitimate pleasure according to Ravi is “anything that legitimately refreshes the soul without distracting or diminishing the ultimate goal.” This definition requires one to carefully define one’s goal in life so that he may know whether or not the goal is being compromised. This was helpful to me in not feeling guilty every single time I turned a wrench or spun a motor. Certainly, I can be sucked into the vortex of projects and be seriously hindered in the work to which God has called me; however, there are also times when getting a break from ministry can enhance, refresh, and round out the mind. Praise the Lord for the joy of experiencing his world!
