33 Days to Go: 100 Miles!
Rode a century this morning! That has been a long time goal of mine. That is a good feeling to watch the odometer click over into 3 digits! The hardest part about riding long for me is surprisingly not the muscles in the legs, but the muscles in the back and neck. Road bikes are not known for comfort. I tried picturing running a marathon after that, and quickly blocked that thought out of my head. Better to just blindly stumble into it, rather than live out the pain in advance :-) Listened to 8 sermons. By about sermon 6 I was only catching 50 percent or so. Still very good for me. We live in a ridiculous age where we can take preachers with us on bikes. Very strange, but very cool.
This is my last mega ride! Next week my long ride is 300 minutes then 240, then 120 then 60 and then race. The taper is almost here. Can’t wait.
