117 Days to Go: Ironman is Expensive
Did a 60 × 60 × 60 today. My hamstring is still giving me issues. Not sure what the problem is. It is starting to worry me as the training program is starting to ramp up. Yikes! I have been praying that the Lord will help me make wise training decisions.
I don’t know if I would have done the whole Ironman thing if I had known what it costs. The registration fee is large, but the amount of extra food consumed, shoes you go through, workout clothes, laundry, fancy cute watches, bike tires, bike trainer, bike gloves, wetsuit, gatorade, etc. makes the registration fee look like chump change. It can really add up. Most of what I have was either given to me or acquired at a great deal but that still does not help the food budget and maintenance items.
