144 Days to Go: Practicing the Trio
Biked one hour, ran 15 minutes, swam 30 minutes. Focused on doing sets in the swim which was a lot of fun compared to what I usually do. I think I understand why swimmers swim sets. It breaks it up and makes it way more manageable. Memorized about 70 Greek words today. I am really leaning toward teaching a Greek class at Charnock if the elders allow it and the Lord wills it. I think a solid understanding of Greek is very important. The more you know it, the more useful it becomes. I read the chapter in John Piper’s book, Brothers We are Not Professionals on knowing the languages and was convinced more than ever that they are essential. All the giants in church history were fluent in Greek and most were fluent in Hebrews. Amazing how little influence is placed there today. This I believe is one of the correcting influences that history can have on our culture.
